Anke Lucks
Anke Lucks, Posaune / Komposition, wurde 1974 in Mettmann/NRW geboren und studierte Jazzposaune in Berlin, wo sie seit 2000 lebt.
Nach dem Studium tourte sie weltweit mit dem Artistik- und Musikprogramm Balagan und europaweit mit der Band Rotfront, spielte Theater- und Filmmusik unter anderem mit der Band Shmaltz und hatte einmalige Auftritte mit Albert Mangelsdorff, Anthony Braxton, Tyshawn Sorey.
Seit 2015 konzentrierte sie sich zunehmend auf eigene Projekte, so hatte ihre musikalische Bearbeitung des Textes Die Ursonate (Kurt Schwitters) 2016 auf dem Berliner Theatertreffen Premiere und wurde zusammen mit Thomas Krüger und Potsa Lotsa weltweit aufgeführt.
Zur Zeit tourt sie viel mit dem kollaborativem Projekt Insomnia Brass Band, ist aber auch als Mitspielerin in diversen Formationen gefragt wie New Generation of Sister and Brotherhood of Breath von Gunther „Baby“ Sommer, Bonecrusher von Matthias Muche und dem Wolfgang Schmidtke Orchestra.
Förderungen für ihre Arbeit als Posaunistin und Komponistin erhielt sie in den letzten Jahren durch Stipendien des Berliner Senats, des Musikfonds und des Deutschen Musikrats.
Anke Lucks, trombone / composition, was born in 1974 in Mettmann/NRW and studied jazz trombone in Berlin, where she lives since 2000.
After her studies she toured worldwide with the artistry and music program Balagan and throughout Europe with the band Rotfront, played theater and film music with the band Shmaltz, among others, and had unique performances with Albert Mangelsdorff, Anthony Braxton, Tyshawn Sorey.
Since 2015 she has increasingly focused on her own projects, for example her musical arrangement of the text Die Ursonate (Kurt Schwitters) premiered at the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2016 and was performed worldwide together with Thomas Krüger and Potsa Lotsa.
She currently tours extensively with the collaborative project Insomnia Brass Band, but is also in demand as a player in various formations such as New Generation of Sister and Brotherhood of Breath by Gunther "Baby" Sommer, Bonecrusher by Matthias Muche, and the Wolfgang Schmidtke Orchestra.
She has received support for her work as a trombonist and composer in recent years through grants from the Berlin Senate, the Musikfonds and the German Music Council.
