Mike Godyla, a passionate tango DJ and dancer, began DJing in 2010 and had his first milonga, “Freitango,” in Bonn in 2012. He soon began touring clubs throughout Germany with his special neo/non/classic mix. He has DJed at renowned milongas such as the Chorforum in Essen, Café Tango in Wuppertal, Durchblick in Dortmund, and La Boca in Bochum, and has been hired for festivals such as Phantastango and the Contact Tango Festival in Wuppertal.

In 2022, he moved to Berlin for tango, where he DJed at clubs such as “La Cathedral” and “Tangoloft.” He loves to search for the most danceable tunes in neo and non-tango and always finds them. He never plays a song without first feeling it with his own feet. He loves tangueras and tangueros and lets them know it.

Mike Godyla, leidenschaftlicher Tango- DJ und Tänzer begann 2010 aufzulegen hatte bereits 2012 seine erste eigene Milonga „Freitango“ in Bonn und zog bald mit seinem speziellen Neo/Non/Classik-Mix durch die Clubs der Republik. Legte auf renomierten Milongas wie dem Chorforum in Essen, Café Tango in Wuppertal, Durchblick in Dortmund und dem La Boca in Bochum auf wurde für Festivals engaiert wie dem Phantastango oder dem Contact-Tango-Festival in Wuppertal.

2022 zog es ihn für den Tango nach Berlin, wo er in Clubs wie dem „La Cathedral oder dem Tangoloft auflegte. Liebt es in Neo und Non-Tango das unbedingt tanzbare zu suchen und findet es. Legt keinen Song auf ohne ihn vorher mit den eigenen Füßen gefühlt zu haben. Liebt die Tangueras und Tangueros und lässt sie das spüren.

On Saturday evening of the Contact Improvisation Festival, the Jamilonga becomes a special experience. Zara Gayk from INSEL designs the evening as a visual artist. Music and visual impressions are coordinated to create an atmospheric ambience that combines music and visual art in one space.

The evening’s music will feature not only traditional tango but also Tango Nuevo, Neo Tango, Electro Tango, and Non-Tango music, blending seamlessly with the visuals for a harmonious experience.

Am Samstagabend des Contact Improvisation Festivals wird die Jamilonga zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Zara Gayk von der INSEL gestaltet den Abend als visuelle Künstlerin. Musik und visuelle Eindrücke sind dabei aufeinander abgestimmt und schaffen eine stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre, die in einem Raum aus Musik und visueller Kunst verbunden werden.

Zara Gayk is a visual artist who has dedicated herself to digital art since the early 90s. She continuously creates new visual impressions in various genres of digital video painting.

Her aim is to sensitively involve the viewer in the art experience and subtly immerse them in her fascinating visual worlds. For the Contact-Tango Milonga, she develops her own show, which is perfectly integrated into the musical mood and the dance experience.

Her deep love of tango helps her to set the right accents.

Zara Gayk ist eine visuelle Künstlerin, die sich seit den frühen 90er Jahren der digitalen Kunst verschrieben hat. Sie schafft in verschiedenen Genres der digitalen Videomalerei kontinuierlich neue visuelle Eindrücke.

Ihr Ziel ist es, den Betrachter sensibel in das Kunsterlebnis einzubeziehen und ihn auf subtile Weise in ihre faszinierenden Bildwelten eintauchen zu lassen. Für die Contact-Tango Milonga entwickelt sie eine eigene Show, die perfekt in die Musikstimmung und das Tanzerlebnis integriert wird.
